Ok y'all, I'm really excited about this one! I'll start by saying two things that I'm pretty fond of are Anthropologie and weddings. I like to joke that if I wasn't a speech-language pathologist I would probably be a wedding planner, and I'm always looking for a reason to go back to school so perhaps a degree in event planning is in my future?! Ok lets be honest, I probably shouldn't quit my day job just yet but that doesn't change the fact that I love checking out the current trends in weddings and seeing all the different things people are doing now. So about a month ago I got an e-mail from Anthropologie introducing their new wedding collection which launched on Valentine's Day. Am I serious? YEEEESSSS! You heard correctly, Anthro is now doing weddings! The shop is called BHLDN which I learned is pronounced "beholden" and offers everything from gowns and bridesmaid dresses to jewelry, hair accessories, and shoes. In true Anthro fashion, what you will find at BHLDN is fun, fashion forward and a far cry from boring bridal. If you love Anthro too, check out BHLDN, I think you'll like what you see!

Riding Boots

For several months I've been in search of a great pair of riding boots. Although this should be easy because there are about a million options out there right now, I haven't quite found the perfect pair. Part of the problem is that I have "athletic" calves so in order to fit a boot over a pair of pants, I definitely have to go with an extended calf option. So, after ordering and returning a couple pairs and searching high and low at several stores, I think I'm gonna go out on a limb and order a pair from J.Crew (big surprise right?!). Riding boots are super versatile and can be a wardrobe staple from fall through spring. I'm crossing my fingers that they fit well because I can't wait to wear them with leggings, jeans, and dresses! The Sunshine House!

If you're feeling "stuck in a rut" when it comes to your current options for music, or if you just want to check out an awesome band full of awesome people, you're gonna want to take a listen to The Sunshine House. The Sunshine House is a band from the sweet sweet city of Fort Collins, CO. They have only been playing together since July of 2010, but after listening to their recently released self-titled EP* you will be blown away by their ability to make such beautiful music. Their EP release was held at a great little coffee shop called Everyday Joe's in Old Town Fort Collins and get this-the show was SOLD OUT! This band has so much fun together and it shows when they play. *For those of you who have no idea what EP means...don't worry, I didn't either!...according to Wiki, "EP is short for Extended Play and is a musical recording which contains more music than a single but is too short to qualify as a full album"

Happy Signing Day!

Happy Signing Day y'all!! If you're a little confused because you thought today was Groundhog Day, let me fill you in. Signing Day is the first Wednesday in February, and it is the first day that high school seniors can sign National Letters of Intent to play college ball. Now this past football season was a bit rough for my Clemson Tigers but never fear because today we signed some awesome athletes and ended up with a top 10 recruiting class!!
